Decemberists
So a few months ago I was hearing alot about this new record from the Decemberists called The Hazards of Love. I downloaded it and loved it. Last night we got the opportunity to check them out at the Pavilion in Charlottesville and it was very cool. Easing Into The Weekend
Loaded on the bus a half hour ago, headed for St. Louis and Off Broadway tonight. Feels good to sit on some leather and watch TV and surf the Internet. In a few minutes I’ll crawl up in the bunk, put in some earplugs and doze off. The AMA’s were going on last night in Nashville, we took in a few shows; Bearfoot and Sarah Siskind. The next stage of the evolution of our new record happens today. We’ll be at our engineer/producer’s studio in West Nashville recording “roughs” of most, if not all of our 27 songs. Colorado Getaway
Gigs come and go, days pass like water under the bridge and blur together as the miles roll under the tires, but there are always those days, those shows that stand out like a hippy at a NASCAR race. 4 Corners Folk Festival is that hippy. Just realized I blogged the same view two days in a row. That’s an indication of what our scene is like here in paradise. The Bills are on, Tim O’Brien comes on for sunset. Hotsprings tonight.
