Gray

Nothing more gray than the first days of December in Tennessee. Days like this make it hard to get out of bed. Nice thing about it is that the transition to early darkness is almost welcome after a full day of absolute blah-ness. By January we’ll be used to it but the memories of fall burn too bright this first week of December. I can never decide if I’d rather be at home or on the road this time of year. I remember these days in Colorado, glued to the weather report, praying for snow. Early December is a weather purgatory. At least we’re in the Blueridge Mountains; I can pick up a copy of Blueridge Outdoors tomorrow. We’ve got the day off in Johnson City on Saturday, if someone wants to rescue me and take me hiking or to the Mud Sweat and Gears Cyclocross race in Bristol it’d be appreciated.
